We're All Just Waiting...

Let the wind surround you,
the only comfort I need,
share the moments I long for,
or just die waiting.

Let the crash of the waves be the only thing you hear,
that's where I see the storm coming,
just sit and watch,
we're all just waiting.

Let yourself take risks,
things you'd never see,
touch me with the palm of your hand,
set me free.

Let the thoughts of the loved fill your mind,
comfort you in times when you're trying to hide,
we're all just waiting.

Let your heart lead your mind for once,
set yourself apart from the world,
with every footprint you leave in the sand,
I'll be waiting... just take my hand.

Let us run together,
away from our fears,
dive into the ocean,
there'll be no more waiting...
here.

Paint a Picture of Life

I tried to paint you a picture,
of black and white,
the colors began to fade in the midnight light.

I began with a simple brush of love and laughter,
it took a turn for the worst,
now look what I'm after.

Find yourself in happiness,
the color of life,
trace all the curves of wonder and paint your picture of life.

I end with a splash of color,
of black and white,
to watch it all fade,
into the midnight light.

I continue to paint my picture of life.

Is This What It Feels Like?

Am I just a paper in the wind, waiting to be caught; picked up by a stranger?
Words to be etched on me.

I've been erased, cumbled, and used for no purpose.
I've been torn from the book of life to tell the story to someone new.
I've been ripped to pieces for the world to put together.
and somehow, I'm still here.

I've been stepped on and stained with black.
I've been confused by lines and wrinkles.
I've been left to construct someone's idea into a change.
and somehow, I'm still here.

Waiting for the words of a stranger to be etched on me,
all you need is a pen.

Everyone is strange, that's what makes us strangers.

Life's A Beach

Keep me safe through the night,
as my dreams keep me awake,
I'm tired of having to put up a fight,
of losing everything I feel inside.

I find myself back to the shores of a life that was once lost,
but now is found,
you are found,
the story can now begin.

The salty air keeps me alive as it's all I breathe,
from the sand that's my beginning,
to the ocean that's my home,
I end the pursuit of happiness.

I begin the life of nothing but playing in the sand,
doing what I love and never with regrets.

This is all I want,
this is all I've ever needed.

The happiness of ones life is just the beginning of a life long journey of finding the final destination.

Fly

I wanna fly like a bird,
to get away from this town,
to fly over the ocean,
and hear its sweet sound.

I wanna spread my wings high,
to touch the sky,
to leave this ground,
and fly, fly away.

I wanna see the world,
from a different view,
disguises and stories,
and if they're all true.

I wanna spread my wings,
till they touch the sky,
I wanna fly like a bird,
in the midnight sky.

I wanna catch the sight,
of broken daylight,
to twist and turn,
to become something that burns.

I wanna fly like a bird,
to get away from this town,
to fly over the ocean,
and become,
its sweet sound.

A Life She Never Knew Of

One tree stood between a road and a life she thought she would never know of.

The life that was covered with blurred pictures.
She would try to wipe them away with a touch of her hand.

Putting one foot infront of the other,
she would slip,
falling deeper into the sounds of her imagination,
creating things with no meaning.

She wanted to feel something for once.
Tripping over innocent words;
they would run through her head.

She became lost just to have a reason to be found.

She stood on the edges of the sea,
with the one tree standing between a road and a life she thought she would never know of,
behind her,
she opened her arms to the waves,
and,
let go.

When Words Fail, Music Speaks

From the rain that falls,
to the wind that speaks,
silence with every meaningless breath,
you twist to fit the mold that I am in.

Beyond the sheets that wrap us in a bond,
I lie awake,
staring in to the darkness of our perfect shadow,
with the touch of your hand,
on my warm tan skin,
I'm speechless.

Lost in my own world,
and yet you always find a way,
to bring me back to a perfect reality.
